Jetset Pilates, Tropical Smoothie | Doral
Century Town Center mixed-use complex in Midtown Doral scored two tenants.
Jetset Pilates took 2,200 square feet, and Tropical Smoothie Cafe took 1,400 square feet at the development, which opened this year, according to a Century Town Center news release. The project is at 8175 Northwest 107 Avenue in Doral.
The leases come on the heels of Rumble Boxing, My Salon Suite, and children’s fitness training and confidence-building provider KidStrong leasing at the complex. Altogether, the five leases account for nearly half of Century Town Center’s 30,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space.
Century Town Center
Rumble is expected to open next month, followed by the rest of the tenants in the third and fourth quarters, a spokesperson for the developers said.
Coral Gables-based Century Homebuilders Group, Miami-based Mattoni Group and South Florida-based Double C by Conconcreto completed Century Town Center this year. It includes a pair of eight-story apartment buildings with 326 units, combined, and a 57,000-square-foot clubhouse, the release says.
Century Homebuilders is led by Sergio Pino, and Mattoni is led by Ricardo Caporal. Double C is an arm of Colombian construction company Conconcreto, led by President Juan Luis Aristizábal.
Presidente Supermarkets | Southland Mall | Cutler Bay
Presidente Supermarkets will anchor the first residential tower at the planned redevelopment of Southland Mall in Cutler Bay.
The grocery store leased 25,000 square feet for a 15-year term at the $1 billion Southplace City Center mixed-use project, which will surround the indoor mall at 20505 South Dixie Highway, according to a news release from Urban Retail Properties, the landlord’s broker.
Neyda Bravo and Luis Gonzalez of Bravo & Partners Realty represented the tenant in the lease.
Electra America, a subsidiary of Tampa-based American Landmark, and the Toledano family’s BH Group plan Southplace City Center with roughly 4,500 apartments, a 150-key hotel, 60,000 square feet of medical offices, new retail and restaurants, and a community amphitheater, the release says. The 98-acre project would rise on Southland Mall outparcels and replace some of the big box buildings. Electra and BH plan to renovate the 808,800-square-foot indoor mall.
Presidente will be in an eight-story, 350-unit apartment building whose construction is expected to start this summer.
The entire Southplace City Center project will be completed over seven years.
Electra is led by Joe Lubeck and Gil Rushinek. Aventura-based BH is led by husband-and-wife Isaac and Liat Toledano. The development firms bought Southland Mall for $100.3 million in 2022, after a JP Morgan Chase commercial mortgage-backed securities trust had seized the property from the previous owner that had defaulted on the loan. Electra’s and BH’s purchase excluded a Mercedes-Benz dealership, as well as a former Sears store and auto center on the site.
Hinshaw & Culbertson | Coral Gables
Hinshaw & Culbertson moved its Coral Gables office, though it stayed nearby.
The law firm leased 18,000 square feet for a seven-year term at 2811 Ponce de Leon Boulevard within The Plaza Coral Gables mixed-use development, according to the tenant’s news release.
Hinshaw’s new office, home to 42 attorneys and 33 staff members, is smaller than its previous 23,000-square-foot office at 2525 Ponce de Leon Boulevard.
Agave Holdings, a real estate firm with projects in the U.S. and Mexico, developed the roughly 2.6 million-square-foot The Plaza on 7 acres on the southeast corner of Ponce de Leon Boulevard and Sevilla Avenue. The project includes a 242-key hotel, 174 apartments and over 160,000 square feet of retail.
Apa Aesthetic | downtown Miami
A cosmetic dentist opened an office at the Met 1 condo in downtown Miami.
Apa Aesthetic, led by Dr. Michael Apa, leased 4,500 square feet at 300 South Biscayne Boulevard, according to the tenant’s news release. Apa also has offices in New York, Los Angeles and Dubai.
The landlord, Miami-based MDM Group, completed the 40-story, 447-unit condo tower in 2008. Met 1 is part of MDM’s Metropolitan Miami complex. The other towers are the 32-story, 462-unit Met 3 apartment tower with a Whole Foods; the 34-story, 188-unit Met Square apartment tower; and the 47-story Wells Fargo Center office tower with a 313-key JW Marriott Marquis Miami.
Bagels & Co. | Wilton Manors
Bagels & Co. opened its second outpost in Broward County.
The bagel and coffee shop leased 2,500 square feet at 1015 Northeast 26th Street in Wilton Manors, according to the tenant’s news release. The restaurant seats about 20 patrons inside and has additional capacity at a patio.
Jaime Sturgis’ Native Realty represented the tenant.
Bagels & Co.’s other Broward restaurant is at 21 Southwest Seventh Street in Fort Lauderdale.
Records show an entity managed by New York-based attorney Thomas Korakis and Clay Anderson owns the Wilton Manors building.
Night Owl Cookies | Coconut Creek
Late-night sweets store Night Owl Cookies opened in Coconut Creek.
The restaurant leased 1,400 square feet at 4431 Lyons Road, according to the tenant’s news release.
AEW Capital Management owns the building, records show.
National Millwork | Palm Beach County
Doors company National Millwork is moving its Palm Beach County industrial facility to another site within the county.
National Millwork, which provides door, hardware and millwork services, leased 101,000 square feet at 1715 Meathe Drive within the Turnpike Logistics Center in an unincorporated area of Palm Beach County, according to a news release from the landlord’s brokers. The industrial campus is near West Palm Beach.
Kirk Nelson and Robert Smith of CBRE represented the landlord.
The tenant will move this summer from its facility at 1177 West Blue Heron Boulevard in Riviera Beach.
Dallas-based Dalfen Industrial owns the two-building, 317,500-square-foot Turnpike Logistics Center, according to records. The campus was completed in 2021.
Maman, Pisco y Nazca Ceviche Gastrobar | Aventura
Regency Centers scored two tenants at its planned Avenida Biscayne retail project in Aventura.
Peruvian restaurant Pisco y Nazca Ceviche Gastrobar leased 5,700 square feet, and café and bakery Maman leased 1,700 square feet at 2747 Northeast 193rd Street, according to the landlord’s news release.
Jacksonville-based Regency is working on a $23 million redevelopment of three retail buildings totaling 28,000 square feet, the release says. Avenida Biscayne is expected to open next year.
