Residents of the 3900 block of Granada Blvd in Coral Gables are on edge following a burglary at a residence on the evening of March 18th. According to reports, the homeowners left their property around 8pm to walk their dog on the nearby golf course. Shortly after their departure, two individuals entered the property.
Homeowners Went For A Walk
While out on the walk, the homeowner noticed a flashlight shining from the rear of the residence and shouted at the subject. One of the burglars fled the area on foot, but the other was able to climb the balcony of the second story and gain entry to the home. The Coral Gables Police Department responded to the scene but the suspects had already fled.
Multiple Burglaries In The Area
This incident is particularly alarming as it occurred less than a month after a similar burglary occurred just blocks away. The proximity and timing of the two incidents have left residents concerned about the safety of their community. The police department has urged residents to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity in the area.
The Coral Gables Police Department has not yet released any information about the suspects.
